Excelsior JET Benchmarking Results
This section contains results of our own comparisons of Excelsior JET with the latest virtual machines from Sun, IBM and BEA, and links to third-party benchmarking results covering Excelsior JET.
Our Results
The results below compare Excelsior JET 4.1 Professional Edition (J2SE 1.5.0_05) to then current versions of most popular Java VMs for the Windows platform: Sun HotSpot 1.5.0_05 (Client and Server) and BEA JRockit™ JRE 5.0 Update 4 R26.0.0. We did not include the IBM JDK, as it has not been updated to support J2SE 5.0 yet.
Our benchmark suite is constantly enhanced and updated. Check this page regularly for latest results.

The below chart displays, for each benchmark, performance indices of all tested Java VMs with respect to the reference implementation (HotSpot Client.) For benchmarks that do not compute composite score, the average of individual tests' indices is used. Longer bars mean better performance.

Independent Results
We are not aware of any publication that includes results of benchmarking Excelsior JET 4.1 against other Java VMs. If you come across a recent Java performance study featuring Excelsior JET 4.1, please let us know.
