Download Excelsior JET 7.0 Beta 3 for Linux

Before downloading, please read the Excelsior Beta Software License Agreement carefully. Your use of Excelsior software or any related documentation indicates your acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth in that Agreement. If you do not agree to those terms and conditions, you may not download, install, or use the Software.

Prerequisites

512MB of RAM, 420 Mb of disk space.
Note: up to 1.1GB of disk space are required to create new profiles.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Download jet-700-beta3-en-linux.bin (87.2 MB)
2. Change the current directory to /usr/local or another directory of your choice.
3. Run the executable and follow the screen prompts. This will extract the product files into ./jet7.0-beta3.
4. Refer to the file ./jet7.0-beta3/readme/readme.txt for further instructions.

NOTE: If you have Excelsior JET 6.5 or older version installed, follow these steps to ensure its coexistence with Excelsior JET 7.0 beta 3:

1. Let's assume that Excelsior JET is currently installed in /usr/local/jet6.5-pro and you have unpacked Excelsior 7.0 beta 3 into /usr/local/jet7.0-beta3.
2. Create a symlink, say, /usr/local/jet pointing to /usr/local/jet6.5-pro.
3. Edit your command search path and LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include that symlink instead of /usr/local/jet6.5-pro.
4. Now, when you need to switch between your work version and 7.0 beta 3, simply modify the symlink so that it points to the desired version.
