Excelsior JET Runtime Fees

The licensing conditions for Excelsior JET Runtime depend on the type of device to which you intend to deploy it:

General Purpose Computers and Servers

As defined in the Excelsior JET Software License Agreement, Production Use and Redistribution Use of Excelsior JET Runtime on General Purpose Desktop Computers and Servers are royalty free.

Embedded Systems

Deployment of Excelsior JET Runtime onto computers that provide dedicated functionality or embedded systems is subject to per-unit royalty payments. Please contact us for details.

The auxiliary Excelsior JET redistributables, such as Excelsior Installer or the isrv utility, are not subject to any royalties.

In Excelsior JET version 4.1 and below, Server and Workstation Runtime are subject to royalties even if you deploy your optimized applications to general purpose desktop computers or servers. We therefore recommend that you upgrade to the latest version.
