Excelsior's Academic Licensing Program
enables use of Excelsior products for education and
non-commercial research purposes at a very reasonable price.
It is available to individual members of the faculty/staff
and students of qualified academic institutions.
Note: If your academic institution is interested in deploying
Excelsior products on a large number of systems,
you should consider joining the
Academic Site Licensing Program instead.
Availability and Pricing
The following products are currently avaliable under the
Academic Licensing Program:
Terms
Functionality.
Excelsior products licensed to you under the Academic Licensing
Program are fully functional.
Field of Use.
You may use Excelsior products licensed to you under the Academic Licensing
Program only for educational and non-commercial research purposes.
Number of Licenses.
One license is good for two computers that are not used simultaneously,
such as your workstation in the lab and your laptop (or home computer.)
If you need to deploy Excelsior products on a large number of systems,
you should consider joining the
Academic Site Licensing Program instead.
Term of Ownership.
The license to the version you purchase is perpetual,
except that it will terminate automatically if your relationship with the academic
institution ends.
License Transfer.
Academic licenses purchased by individuals are non-transferable. Academic institutions
may transfer the licenses they have purchased between their students and members of
the faculty/staff as necessary.
No Technical Support.
Excelsior has no obligation to provide you with technical support services
under the Academic License. You may purchase technical support incidents or an
annual Support Contract separately.

How to Apply
To purchase a license for any of the above products:

You must be a student or faculty/staff member of a qualified academic
institution.

You must have an email address provided by your academic institution.

You must provide some proof of your affiliation with the
academic institution. This can be a scanned image of your student ID
/ faculty ID, or a link to an up-to-date Web page on your academic
institution's Web site that lists you as a faculty member or student.

You must read and accept the
Academic License Agreement.
If you meet the above qualifications,
