Commercial Use Licenses
Excelsior JET is licensed on a per seat basis.
Excelsior JET, Standard Edition
is priced from $1,200 per seat, the
Professional Edition
would cost you from $2,300, and the list prices for the
Enterprise Edition
start from $4,500 per seat.
Volume discounts are applicable
and there is a discount for dual-platform (Windows+Linux) purchases.
Site- or organization-wide commercial-use licenses are not available.
All Excelsior JET purchases include one year of support and upgrades.
Runtime fees apply only when you
deploy to embedded systems.
Deployment to conventional desktop/laptop computers and servers is royalty-free.
Upgrades
Version Upgrades
Starting from version 4.5, all Excelsior JET purchases include one year
of support and upgrades. You may then renew your support contractr at any time,
but note it will commence from the date on which the previous contract has expired.
To upgrade from any prior version, you must purchase
a Support Contract.
License Upgrades
You can upgrade from the Standard Edition
to the Professional or
Enterprise Edition or from the Professional Edition to
Enterprise Edition at any time.
J2SE 1.4.2 Support
The current version of Excelsior JET only supports Java SE 6 and J2SE 5.0.
If your application runs on J2SE 1.4.2 and you do not want to migrate
to the latest Java version for any reason, you may purchase
Excelsior JET 4.8, which is the last version with support for J2SE 1.4.2.

Academic Use Licenses
Excelsior JET Academic Edition,
licensed for educational and non-commercial research,
costs just $100 per seat.
Academic institutions aiming at making multiple installations
should consider purchasing an
Academic Site License.
