    IllegalSignature Exception/Class not found?

My Apologies, I was going by the readme.txt in the eval version and thought I may get my question answered here. SUPPORT No support is provided for this evaluation copy of xFunction.

    IllegalSignature Exception/Class not found?

thanks...I realise you don't support demo's, but if you don't answer peoples questions at all how do you excpect them to seriously evaluate your product? I have found a competing one that does.
  3. Hello, I get the following error: Exception in thread "main" com.excelsior.xFunction.IllegalSignatureException: Class 'xPacket' not found at com.excelsior.xFunction.ArgType.<init>(ArgType.java:169) at com.excelsior.xFunction.ArgType.getArgType(ArgType.java:110) at com.excelsior.xFunction.xFunction.parseSignature(xFunction.java:181) at com.excelsior.xFunction.xFunction.<init>(xFunction.java:30) at Sample0.main(Sample0.java:19) trying to call a c function with the following: xFunction foo3 = new xFunction("xLibrary", "int xGetNextPacket(xPacket*)"); original c call is: xPacketResult xGetNextPacket( xPacket *packetPtr); The original xPacket is a typedef struct { xPacketType type; unsigned int tag; xDataPacket dataPacket; } xPacket; which includes typedef struct { xDataPacketType type; time_t time; unsigned long data1; unsigned long data2; } xDataPacket; The types are enums, and time_t is: typedef struct { unsigned long seconds; unsigned long microseconds; } time_t; I have an inner class xPacket setup as int xPacketType; int tag; DataPacket int xdataPacket; with DataPacket and TimeStamp inner classes as well. Is my problem (class not found) due to incorrect signature, or some other problem with this nested structure? If so, what would be the correct java structure to achieve the above? The library returns correctly from initialisation. many thanks, pc
