    Runtime Loading And Resources

Hi mavr, I've just run into this problem again. We are trying to compile JDBC drivers into seperate dll's and loading them though the standard DriverManager interface. The choice of jdbc driver would be upto the users of our software. Compiling them all into the main exe is not really possible in this case, just due to the size of the resulting exe. Are there any plans to change how resources are loaded in a future version of JET? Being able to load resources that are in a dll that is linked at runtime is something that would useful to us.

    Runtime Loading And Resources

Hi Mavr Thats exactly right, I am attempting to use the -dll:class-prefix*:dll-name syntax. The class files are found but the resources bound to the dll are not. This dll has no hard references in the main executable. (i.e new is not used on any of the classes). All access is though things like Class.forName( "..." ) etc. Cheers

    Runtime Loading And Resources

Hi, I am having a problem with a runtime loaded dll. It is unable to find the image resources it requires. If I link the the dll in staticly then everything works ok. Is there something special that I need to do in the case of runtime loaded dll's? Cheers

Selecting Jet Profile at Compile Time

Thanks thats great. As we are using ant to tie together all the different parts of the build process it was easy to add.
  5. Hi, Is it possible to select the jet profile to use inside the project file? We have a dedicated build server to build our projects. A recent project requires 1.5 while all the rest require 1.4 ( we can not upgrade these projects to 1.5 for these due to client requirements etc). Cheers Mark Hillary

    3rd Party Packages

Ah ok, So basicly I would compile the jars my self, and produce Dll's from them, and these would be distributed with my application. So these jars can be removed from the JRE that gets distrubted? One other thing that I've just thought of. Is it possible to package the jni dlls that come with the jars into the Dll produced by jet (Like what can be done with resources)? Thanks.

    3rd Party Packages

Hi, What is the recommended way of dealing with 3rd Party Packages that install them selves in lib/ext and bin of the JRE? I don't seem to be able to get JET to notice the jars when compiling. Thanks

Hi all, I am attempting to compile JGoodies Looks package into a dll, but am getting a problem with makeIcon from the LookAndFeel class. It is looking for an icon under com.jgoodies.looks.plastic.PlasticXpLookAndFeel/icons/RadioLight5x5.png when the icon is actually under com.jgoodies.looks.plastic.icons/RadioLight5x5.png Now this works fine when the application has not been compiled to native code and is just making use of the Jar. Has anyone tried to compile this look and feel (or any other)? Any help would be apprecated. Cheers
