any luck with the Rhino Javascript Engine?

Recommended Posts

dear all,

i would like to ask if anyone of you can make the Rhino Javascript engine (http://www.mozilla.org/rhino/) to work with JET.

after compiling the engine into native code using JET, it appears that the internal JIT engine of JET cannot correctly compile dynamically generated classes produced by Rhino. Those classes are generated by parsing the javascript to be executed.

the JIT engine produce a #410 Fault:

org.mozilla.javascript.JavaScriptException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.ClassFormatError: JIT ERROR: (JIT) Fault #410 in org/mozilla/javascript/gen/javascript (line 7):java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.ClassFormatError: JIT ERROR: (JIT) Fault #410 in org/mozilla/javascript/gen/javascript (line 7)

pls let me know if you hv any idea. thanks.

There seems to be a flaw in our JIT implementation, which cannot be fixed quickly, so Rhino will have to wait until JET 3.0 comes out this fall. We shall include it into the test suite.

Thank you very much for reporting this problem.
