KFou 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Everyone knows how large a JET executable with the JRE can be (18+ MB), and this is the case for everyone who has utilised the Java Swing or AWT Libraries in their application. Unfortunately Sun's license does not allow the distribution of AWT or SWING libaries alone, but the entire JRE must be distributed, the solution though to that is using IBMs SWT libraries. My question is the following: 1. What tools have you used to convert Swing to SWT? Are there any toold free? What tools do you recommend? 2. Is Excelsior considering the automatic interpretation and conversion of Swing to SWT, in a future release?
