class configured for MessageDigest(provider: SUN)

Recommended Posts

I've written a little application with java Swing. I've generated an 'exe' with Excelsior Jet V3.15 Professional Version updated with the Maintenance Pack 3.

By running the application, I get the following error;

class configured for MessageDigest(provider: SUN)cannot be found

sun.security.provider.SHA

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerException

I don't get the error on my computer where Excelsior Jet is installed.

Could someone help me?

Thanks,

Veronique.

Yes, I tested it in Jet PackII.

My program try to read a file using the 'ObjectInputStream' class. This file contains 2 Vectors of self-defined Object. I get the following error now;

class configured for MessageDigest(provider: SUN)cannot be found.

sun.security.provider.SHA

class configured for MessageDigest(provider: SUN)cannot be found.

sun.security.provider.SHA

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException

Could someone help me?

Veronique.

Please contact our Support Dept.

Another thing you can try is testing your app with latest JET 3.6 Eval, maybe the problem is already fixed.

Hi,

I've found a solution.

By clicking 'Include JET Runtime in Whole' in the 5th Step of JET PackII, I don't get the error anymore.

I don't find the description of the different components. I need probably to add only one component.

Veronique.

Try perofrom trial run once more. Do all usual scenarios in that run (this is needed to force all 'dynamic' classes to load).

If won't help, try manually add 'xsec' component.
