generating and consuming COM events

I want to develop a small COM dll just to communicate with a GUI widget. To trigger the GUI, the widget's platform API just has the ability to consume COM events.

Using excelsior, is there a way to develop a COM component that generates COM events and is conversely able to listen to events?

Excelsior JET does not generate COM DLLs directly so you have to write a simple wrapping DLL as shown in the sample

   <JET installation dir>\samples\Invocation\COM

or use third-party software for interfacing to COM such as

J-Integra. See, for instance,
